Finance Trustee

Volunteer Centre West Berkshire

Based in Newbury, Volunteer Centre West Berkshire has been around since 1974 delivering both Newbury centric and West Berkshire wide services.

This small charity is a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) which affords trustees similar protection of a limited liability company and is an accredited volunteer recruitment organisation providing free impartial information, advice and guidance about how when and where people can volunteer.

In addition, the charity operates transport services within the town, Newbury Shopmobility and supports the voluntary sector as the local Council for Voluntary Service (CVS).

The organisation is governed by a board of trustees. We are now seeking to strengthen the team with the addition of a financially qualified trustee who can bring substantial financial experience to help the charity develop.

In this role, you will help the charity to be financially effective and help support financially informed decision-making.

It is a very friendly team, there is a dedicated but small team of remunerated staff and a huge body of long serving volunteers that administer the charity's services.
