Volunteer Centre West Berkshire
The Volunteer Centre is a busy town centre charity that delivers a number of services including transport, cars, buses, general recruitment and Newbury Shopmobility.
This is a rare opportunity to join our happy team of volunteers in our volunteer car scheme office to provide cover when other volunteers are unavailable.
The role involves handling requests for transport from people with mobility problems, mainly over the telephone. The ideal person will be confident, well organised, PC literate, friendly, outgoing and have an empathy for people with transport needs.
Volunteering takes place on weekday mornings (10am-1pm).
It's fun, rewarding and a very supportive atmosphere. Our charity does a huge amount in the town and this is an opportunity to make a worthwhile contribution.
The Volunteer Centre is in Broadway House at the Clocktower end of Northbrook Street.
