Sighted Guide for a Visually Impaired Person

Berkshire Vision

Some of our members need support and encouragement to get out and about. As a Realeyes Guide you would help a visually impaired person to become familiar with a specific route. For example, navigate a route to the train station or to get a bus into town, or perhaps practice the walk to the local coffee shop, the gym or to work. Friendly chat along the way is also appreciated.

Who would be supporting me?

The Head of Volunteering and the Volunteer Co-Ordinator will be supporting you.

You will receive online induction training, followed by face-to-face training plus a volunteer handbook. We reimburse reasonable expenses.
