Join us as an Information & Events Volunteer and help raise awareness of Berkshire Vision while supporting a range of local events.
This is a varied and engaging role where you can be as involved as you like. Whether you enjoy simply meeting people and supporting events, or you’re keen to bring new ideas and take on more responsibility over time, we’ll support you to shape the role in a way that suits you.
What you’ll be doing
• Supporting and running information and fundraising stands (this could be at community events and fetes, local libraries, shopping centres, eye clinics, public spaces and more)
• Engaging with members of the public and raising awareness
• Representing Berkshire Vision at local events
• (If you’re interested) suggesting new events or outreach opportunities
• (Optional) supporting the coordination of events or leading other information and events volunteers as you gain experience

You’ll be supported by our Communications and Marketing Manager, along with our Head of Volunteering and Volunteer Officer.
Berkshire Vision provide practical and friendly support, sport and activities to visually impaired children and adults, and their families locally and across Berkshire. Helping them to develop confidence and live independent lives safely. We are always keen to welcome new volunteers to join our wonderful team.
We’re looking for friendly and motivated people who enjoy engaging with others and being part of a team.
Ideally, you will be:
• Confident and approachable when speaking to the public
• Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to get involved
• A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• A team player who can also use their own initiative
• Open to contributing ideas, but equally happy supporting events
Whether you’re looking to build confidence, meet new people, or develop new skills, this role can adapt to you.
This is a flexible role available on various days/times.
Time Committment is Flexible – we attend events throughout the year, and you can join in when it suits you. Every contribution is valued.
