Fundraising Volunteer

Bridge for Young People are looking for fundraising volunteers to work within the fundraising team to help raise awareness and funds.

Have you got the following skills & experience?

• A professional and friendly telephone manner;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work on own initiative; 
• Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus; 
• Commitment to work in compliance with policies and procedures.

Then we would love you to help us. Fundraising volunteering is fun as well as rewarding and may include:

• Developing local/community fundraising and awareness events; 
• Manning a stall at an event;
• Putting up posters or handling out flyers; 
• Delivering a presentation to a school in your local area; 
• Attending cheque presentations; 
• Approaching individuals, schools, universities, shops and commercial organisations for sponsorship and donations.

Volunteering will take place in Newbury, Thatcham and surrounding areas.

About Bridge for Young People

Young People and Children First, known as Bridge for Young People, provides a home and support to young people (aged 16-25) who are leaving care or who are homeless. We currently have three houses in West Berkshire; Wessex House, Rebecca House and Hope House.

Our residents have typically experienced varying challenges during their childhood. We provide them with a stable home, emotional support and practical help during this crucial time as they move into independence.
