Enrych Berkshire
Very friendly lady who lives in Wickham (near Welford) is very isolated due to becoming visually impaired. She would love a volunteer to go on dog walks with or out for coffee. She can only let her dog run around the field near her house as she is unable to walk locally due to narrow pavements and lack of vision.
Enrych Berkshire supports and encourages adults with a physical disability to become more active and independent. Aiming to enhance their quality of life, improve physical and mental health, reduce social isolation and to aid rehabilitation and integration into mainstream society.
Members are paired with a like minded volunteer on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to enjoy a leisure activity or learn a new skill. We put practical support in place for members to enjoy activities such as walks, swimming, playing games, going to the library or cinema, joining a club or learning a new skill.
