Enrych Berkshire
We are looking for a Female Volunteer to enjoy gentle walks with female stroke survivor in her mid fifties. She would like to practice her walking to aid her mobility. Her ideal is to walk slowly around part of Thatcham Lakes with her very well behaved dachshund. She is a bright lady who has always been very sociable - adapting to her new life has been hard.
The lady lives in Newbury.
Enrych Berkshire supports and encourages adults with a physical disability to become more active and independent. Aiming to enhance their quality of life, improve physical and mental health, reduce social isolation and to aid rehabilitation and integration into mainstream society.
Members are paired with a like minded volunteer on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to enjoy a leisure activity or learn a new skill. We put practical support in place for members to enjoy activities such as walks, swimming, playing games, going to the library or cinema, joining a club or learning a new skill.
A driver who is happy to have the members dachshund in their car.
