Horticultural Team Volunteer

The Living Rainforest

The Trust for Sustainable Living (TSL) is a global educational charity, with the aim of helping the next generation to achieve a sustainable future. We have an education centre called The Living Rainforest which welcomes around 100,000 visitors each year, including 25,000 children on school trips.

Visitors can experience the sights, sounds and smells of a lush tropical rainforest environment – and explore how plants, animals, human needs, economies and cultures are all linked. Our centre is home to over 850 species of plants and animals, including rare and endangered species of global conservation value.

Horticultural Team volunteer duties will include watering, construction and planting of new beds, maintenance of plants in the glasshouses and gardens, and lots of physical work! You must be OK with getting tired and dirty!

Volunteers are highly valued members of our organisation, and have been an integral part of its development from the very beginning of our ventures in 1993. Volunteering is also enormously rewarding and is an excellent way of gaining experience within our industry and sector.
