The Living Rainforest
The Trust for Sustainable Living (TSL) is a global educational charity, with the aim of helping the next generation to achieve a sustainable future. We have an education centre called The Living Rainforest which welcomes around 100,000 visitors each year, including 25,000 children on school trips.
Visitors including our school groups can experience the sights, sounds and smells of a lush tropical rainforest environment – and explore how plants, animals, human needs, economies and cultures are all linked. Our centre is home to over 850 species of plants and animals, including rare and endangered species of global conservation value.
The Education Team currently runs a wide variety of school tours for children aged 4 to 16. They also run higher education programs for A-level and university students. The Living Rainforest are looking for volunteers to help develop and run their schools program which is responsible for educating over 25,000 students a year.
The current roles are admin based for the practical day to day running of the diary system with some craft activities during the school holidays.

Volunteers are highly valued members of our organisation, and have been an integral part of its development from the very beginning of our ventures in 1993. Volunteering is also enormously rewarding and is an excellent way of gaining experience within our industry and sector.
