Charity Trustee

TTPNetwork

TTPNetwork began fundraising and registered as a charity in 2021, however we have been around a lot longer!

We provide information, support and advocacy for a very rare group of patients.  These patients have been diagnosed with a life long, potentially fatal condition and most are treated at one of 11 specialist hospitals with whom we have a great working relationship.

We are looking to expand our trustee board and really focus on the skills we need.  We would particularly like to hear from individuals with experience in HR, or finance and some experience of the charity sector would be useful.

Our Trustees meet once a quarter although there may be a need to meet more frequently for some start and finish task group work.

We are very small in number with currently just one paid employee and a small team of volunteers but we have exciting plans!

Do you have what it takes to support a growing organisation that in turn supports a rare group of people living with a lifelong condition?

We are national. We do not have offices although some of our staff are in the West Berks area. Meetings are typically held via Teams or Zoom. With the occasional face to face at a location to be agreed by all.

About TTPNetwork

TTPNetwork is the UK's primary patient support group for patients diagnosed with Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP), a heamatological condition.

We provide advocacy, information and support for patients and their families, and we offer support to health care professionals.

We are UK based and our support is for those in the UK and Ireland, but our reach is far wider.

We are a key voice in the public health sector and regularly work with other stakeholders to improve knowledge and services for TTP patients.

We are committed to ensuring patients with TTP receive the best care available to them and the peer support they require to help understand and live with their diagnosis.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for a forward thinking person with experience of HR or Finance in a business or charity setting.  If you have experience of Charity/governance that would be a bonus.

Understanding life through the eyes of individuals living with a life long condition would be an advantage.
