Greenfield House Day Centre in Calcot is looking for friendly, caring volunteers to support adults with a range of physical, neurological and cognitive needs. Our centre provides personalised support, meaningful activities and a calm, inclusive environment where people are valued, respected and encouraged to stay active and connected.
As a volunteer, you could help support social interaction and activities such as arts and crafts, music, singing, gentle exercise, games, quizzes, reminiscence sessions, celebration days, gardening, outings and other wellbeing focused experiences. Whether you have a particular skill to share or simply enjoy spending time with people, your support could help make each day more enjoyable and meaningful for those who attend the centre.
Greenfield House is a welcoming, purpose-built day service in Calcot offering personalised support, meaningful activities and experienced care in a calm, inclusive environment.
Greenfield House Day Centre supports adults with a range of physical, neurological and cognitive needs. We focus on helping people stay active, connected and engaged through compassionate, person-centred support.
Located just off Junction 12 of the M4 in Calcot, our centre provides excellent facilities and a respectful, inclusive atmosphere where people can feel comfortable, valued and supported.
As a service we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life and we work closely with each of our customers to develop personalised care plans that capture their unique goals and preferences.
We offer a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities, which include:
• Arts and crafts
• Music, singing and dance
• Daily exercise and movement sessions
• Skittles and other active games
• Reminiscence activities
• Bingo, quizzes and board games
• Celebration days and seasonal events
We support people to continue enjoying familiar hobbies and pastimes, while also encouraging them to try new experiences when they would benefit from them.
Greenfield House also offers a wide range of specialist facilities and enriching experiences designed to support wellbeing, independence and social connection. These include interactive sensory activities through the Tovertafel magic table, reflexology and aromatherapy sessions, community outings, life skills development, therapeutic gardening, visiting entertainment and a variety of physical activities to encourage movement and engagement.
We welcome volunteers who are kind, reliable, patient and enthusiastic about supporting people in a respectful and inclusive way. You do not need previous care experience, as guidance will be provided by our experienced team.
