Newbury Church & Almshouse Charity
Newbury Church & Almshouse Charity (NCAAC) is looking for voluntary board members who are able to contribute to the running of this small and busy charity.
Newbury Churches Almshouse Association Charity (NCAAC) is an Almshouse charity providing housing to people over the age of 60. We are extremely proud of our long history that that dates back to 1866.
NCAAC is a charity regulated by the Charity Commission and a member of The Almshouse Association. The charity owns 27 Almshouse properties in Newbury housing people in need who have lived in the Newbury area (RG14) for 5 years or more.
The day-to-day management of the properties is undertaken on our behalf by the Administration & Operations Manager. Trustees of the charity are seeking to recruit new Trustees to carry on the legacy of the charity.
Volunteering is within the Newbury area. Transport is not essential to this role.
The position is unremunerated (reasonable expenses paid).

The charity exists to provide low cost accommodation for those in needs, within the parish of Newbury (RG14) and also supports relief in need to those who live in this area. The charity also supports the upkeep of the fabric of St Nicolas Church.
The ideal candidates will bring to the board of Trustees experience of one, or more, of the following:
We are looking for someone who is committed to the work of the charity and understands the principles of good governance.
This is a flexible role available on various days/times.
There are 4 quarterly trustee meetings per year. Trustee meetings are usually on a Monday at 1 pm and last a maximum of 2 hours.
