Recording Engineer

Newbury & District Talking Newspaper Association

Could you help our local Talking Newspaper?

The Newbury and District Talking Newspaper Association was set up in 1976 to keep the local blind and partially sighted in touch with their local news.

For more than 40 years, we have sent out the "Kennet Cassette" - a weekly audio version of the Newbury Weekly News (now on USB memory sticks!) - to the visually impaired of West Berkshire and beyond.

We are looking for someone to join our team of "Recording Engineers". This involves recording the readers onto a laptop - two hours on a Thursday evening, once a month - and afterwards transferring it to a USB memory stick.

If you can spare a couple of hours once a month and would like to get involved, please contact us.

Recordings take place just off The Broadway, Thatcham.
