M4H Warehouse Volunteer

We have a small warehouse and storage container for our stock of donated model kits and tools. We have Tanks, Aircraft, Ships, Submarines, Artillery, Figures, Cars and Trucks all in different scales and by different manufacturers.

We are looking for someone to be able to restock the shelves with cleaned complete model kits, moving models from the warehouse and storage container and back, stocking the shelves of which are 6 ft high.

You could also be providing administrative support to the organisation where needed plus other general duties. You will be volunteering with other volunteers.

Directions: Greenham Business Park in Thatcham. Car parking available. Enter the Greenham Business Park at the Headley end of the a339 roundabout. Turn right into The Square and right again. Centerprise House is the bank of units on your left.

About Models for Heroes

Models for Heroes provide model making activities for Former and Current Armed Forces and Emergency Services personnel. We also promote model making hobbies to promote well being and positive mental health.

Currently we are involved in an Online project providing daily workshops over Zoom to give guidance, encouragement and advice on model making. We supply the beneficiary with a large box of selected models and tools suited to their hobby tastes and goals. We are sending around 6 boxes out per week around the UK via courier.

What skills do I need?

Boxes can be large and weighty and the shelves are low to 6ft high. You may be answering the phone and speaking with other volunteers and beneficiaries so a good manner would be beneficial.

Time commitment: Flexible but at minimum a few hours a week. Maximum 10 hours a week.
