Penny Post offers volunteer opportunities to anyone who is interested in community news and would like a flexible work from home schedule.
We have a range of tasks that need on a weekly basis and can be tailored to suit the applicant. These include research/fact checking, proof reading, website curation calendar updating. Full training is provided but an adequate level of IT competance and literacy is required.
Penny Post publishes a free, weekly e-newsletter providing local, constructive news for West Berkshire (Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford, Compton, Burghfield, Lambourn), Wantage and Marlborough. Penny Post also runs a website, events calendar and social media channels.

Skills include literacy, reasonable IT proficiency, communication skills and an interest in community news. The applicants skill set will be matched with an appropriate task.

We operate on a weekly cycle of newsletter publishing which drives some of the work we do (mainly on Wednesdays and Thursdays). Other tasks are regular/ongoing and can be done at any time during the week.
