Committee member

Love Lane Pre School

We would love volunteers who are interested in helping a small charity that delivers superb care for pre school age children. Love Lane pre school has been open since the 1980s and we even have a member off staff who has been with us since then as well as children whose parents used to attend which shows what a lovely place this is.

We would want volunteers to come along to regular meetings, we have these between every 6-8 weeks. During these meetings we discuss fundraising, the accounts, staffing salaries when needed and any requests from our manager such as new equipment, staffing or admin support.

Experience in admin, HR, finance, charities or events would be great but not essential. We are currently looking for a new Treasurer but general members of the committee are welcome.

We are based in Donnington and meet somewhere nearby for meetings.

About Love Lane Pre School

Love Lane Pre School is a small charity run by a passionate team of child carers! Karen, our manager, and her team organises fun crafts, games, learning and development activities in the sessions that run every day between 8.30-11.30am.

As we are a charity we need a committee to help with the business and fundraising side of the pre school. We meet regularly to decide on fundraising events and have recently been putting together a yearly plan to make joining us even easier. We regularly meet with Karen and the staff so we have a great community/team feeling and are all working towards the pre school being a lovely place for the children to be.

What skills do I need?

Experience in admin, HR, finance, charities or events would be great but not essential. We are currently looking for a new Treasurer but general members of the committee are welcome.

We have recently been having meetings in the local pub so it's a very relaxing environment with lovely people and we look forward to meeting you!
