Girlguiding - Pang Valley

There are currently around 44,000 girls and young women on lists waiting to join Girlguiding in the UK.

By becoming a volunteer, you can help ensure that as many girls and young women as possible get the opportunity to experience the fun and challenge of guiding.

You will be joining more than 80,000 other adult volunteers who contribute over ten million hours to guiding every year. Like them, you will enjoy the personal rewards and satisfaction that volunteering brings.

Girlguiding UK welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds, age groups and abilities. Guiding is flexible and volunteering can be arranged to fit around a busy lifestyle. You can volunteer to help out with:

  • Rainbows aged four to seven 
  • Brownies aged seven to ten 
  • Guides aged 10 to 14 
  • Pang Valley Rangers aged 14 to 18

Or you can help out in a support role, such as administration or social media.

Whatever your skills and interests, and no matter how much time you have to spare, one of our volunteering roles is bound to suit you.

About Girlguiding - Pang Valley

Girlguiding UK is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women, with around half a million members including about 100,000 trained volunteer adult Leaders and supporters.

Rainbows (age 5-7)
Rainbows follow a programme called Rainbow Jigsaw, which is all about making friends, buiding confidence and having fun!

Brownies (age 7-10)
Brownies follow a programme called Brownie Adventure which is full of exciting challenges, games and activities, usually ones that the Brownies have suggested themselves.

Guides (age 10-14)
Being a Guide encourages girls to develop by undertaking challenges and pushing the boundaries of their experience.

Senior Section (age 14-25)
Our Senior Section offers the exciting and flexible Look Wider programme with a huge variety of challenges, activities and opportunities for personal development.
