Stroke Care For Newbury and West Berkshire
Assist with activities at the rehabilitation and reablement group on Tuesdays at Woolhampton Village Hall. Attend from 9.45am to 2.30pm. You will need to chat to the members in our group, make refreshments, help with lunch, assist members with activities and equipment and help tidy up. We can provide volunteers with Food safety and First aid training and assist with a DBS check (if required) - volunteers are never on their own with Stroke Survivors and all personal care is provided by a bluebird carer. This group makes a real difference to our members lives, physically and mentally and volunteers build friendships with them through listening and helping them.
Stroke Care for Newbury and West Berkshire supports Stroke Survivors in West Berkshire. It is a West Berkshire Council supported charity (no. 1027003) and one of our activities is a rehabilitation and reablement group that runs on a Tuesday at Woolhampton Village Hall from 10am to 2.30pm. Stoke survivors receive physio, exercises, mentally stimulating activities and friendship. Refreshments and lunch are served. Our members tell us it is a lifeline. We need volunteers to assist at this group.
Patience, an enjoyment of talking to people and a sociable and helpful nature!
